What is picoplus?
Picoplus is a 1064nm picosecond laser used for two main purposes. First, it treats pigmentation concerns such as melasma and nevus of Ota while helping improve overall skin tone. Second, it can be used for enlarged pores, acne scars, and tattoo removal.
Because different types of pigmentation require different treatment approaches, we may use a combination of devices and techniques, including Pico toning, Laser Genesis, long-pulsed lasers, scabbing lasers, potenza, and CO₂ laser removal for moles.
For pore and scar treatment, we may combine CO₂ fractional laser, Pico fractional laser, Potenza, and skin boosters such as Rejuran and Juvelook.
Among these options, PicoPlus is particularly effective for pigmentation (picotonig) and enlarged pores (picofraxel).
When will you see results? Is there any downtime?
Pico toning involves virtually no downtime. In rare cases, mild folliculitis or temporary skin irritation may occur, but these effects usually subside within one week.
After Pico fractional treatment, facial redness may persist for approximately three to five days before the skin returns to normal. Both treatments are generally well tolerated, with minimal discomfort.
Dermia’s Laser Omakase is designed to address multiple concerns at the same time, including enlarged pores, acne scars, pigmentation, and facial redness.
Each session combines three different laser treatments, and the program consists of a total of 10 sessions.
At the doctor’s discretion, the treatment may also include additional procedures such as laser hair removal, regenerative injections, melasma injections, or anti-inflammatory injections, depending on the patient’s skin condition.
